AI Voice Recorder (“the App”) is developed by Muhammad Umer. We respect your privacy and designed the App so your recordings stay on your device.

Summary

• No account or sign-up is required.
• Your recordings are stored locally on your device.
• We do not sell or share your personal information.
• We do not run ads or use cross-app tracking in the App.
• Anonymous crash reports may be sent through Firebase Crashlytics to help fix bugs.
• Optional transcription uses Apple’s Speech Recognition framework. When you choose to transcribe a recording, audio may be processed on-device or by Apple’s speech services depending on your device configuration and iOS settings. Transcripts are displayed inside the App and are not sent to our servers.

Information the App Accesses

Microphone (with your permission)

Microphone access is used only when you choose to record audio in the App, such as creating voice notes, meetings, lectures, or personal recordings. Recordings are stored locally on your device unless you choose to export or share them. You can deny permission; recording will not work without it.

Speech Recognition (with your permission)

If you choose transcription in the player, the App uses Apple’s Speech framework to convert audio to text. Speech recognition processing may occur on-device or through Apple’s Privacy Policy depending on your device configuration and iOS settings. We do not receive or store transcript data on our servers. We do not receive your transcripts on our servers.

Files you choose to import

You may import audio files from the Files app or pick a video to extract audio. The App only accesses files you select.

Sharing

If you use Share, the App uses the iOS share sheet to send a recording to apps or services you choose (e.g. Mail, Messages, cloud storage). We do not control those third-party services.

Information Stored on Your Device

The App does not upload or synchronize recordings to developer-operated servers or cloud storage services.

The App stores data locally, including:

• Audio recordings (e.g. in the app’s Documents folder)
• Recording library metadata (e.g. names, duration, flags)
• Temporary or cached files (e.g. denoised audio copies, temporary video files during import)
• App preferences (e.g. onboarding status, format settings) via iOS UserDefaults
  

• Features such as noise reduction process audio locally on your device and do not send recordings to us.

This data remains on your device unless you share or export it, or delete it in the App or by uninstalling the App.

Information We Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store your recordings on our servers. The App does not include user accounts or cloud backup operated by us.

Crash diagnostics

The App uses Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to collect anonymous crash reports and diagnostic information when the App crashes, to improve stability. This may include device model, OS version, and crash logs. It does not include your recording content. Learn more: Firebase Privacy.

Firebase SDK

The App initializes Firebase services at launch. Firebase Crashlytics is used for anonymous crash diagnostics to improve app stability. Anonymous analytics events related to app usage and feature interactions may be collected to improve the App experience. Recording audio content and transcript text are not included in analytics events.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Your Choices

• Deny or revoke Microphone or Speech Recognition in iOS Settings.
• Delete recordings inside the App.
• Uninstall the App to remove locally stored data (subject to iOS backup behavior if you use iCloud backup).

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
